Southern Loop starts from the end point of Package-17 of Northern Loop of Ring Road having Sui Gas Town on its right side and Bankers Town on its left side and is almost 37 km long, divided into four (4) sections namely SL-I (9.35 km), SL-II (13.0 km), SL-III (8.0 km) and SL-IV (17 km). Brief description of the alignment is given below:
- SL-I
It starts from Sui Gas Town and ends at Ferozepur Road and the alignment passes through Kamahan Village, crosses the Hadiara Drain and ends at Bulleh Shah Interchange on Gajjumata, Ferozepur Road - SL-II
It starts from Gajjumata (Bulleh Shah Interchange) and ends at Raiwind Road and this part of alignment passes near Islampura, Halloki, through Fazaia Housing Society and ends at Adda Plot Interchange on Raiwind Road - SL-III
It starts from Raiwind Road and ends at Multan Road. The alignment passes through Bahria Town, NFC-II and ends at Interchange to be constructed on Multan Road - SL-IV
It starts from Multan Road (end of SL-3) and ends at Nazar Lubhana near Sharaqpur
Ongoing Projects
Southern Loop, SL-I and SL-II
The engineering, procurement, construction, finance, operations and maintenance of the Lahore Ring Road (Southern Loop, SL-I and SL-II) under the Build-Operate and Transfer (BOT) mode, the competent authority decided to construct the southern loop in parts due to administrative and financial reasons. PPP Steering Committee in its 22nd Meeting dated 15-02-2016 approved the proposal of construction of Southern Loop (SL-I and SL-II) on BOT basis. Subsequently M/s FWO was awarded the project after due process of competitive bidding. The Concession Agreement was signed on 22-06-2016 and ground breaking of the project was done by the Chief Minister, Punjab on 14-08-2016.
Project starts from Sui Gas Society near Kamhan and ends at Raiwind Road near Adda Plot. The project has been divided into two parts:
- SL-I (9.35 km)
Starts from P-17 of Northern Loop (Sui Gas Society Interchange) and ends after crossing the Ferozepur Road near Gajumata Village - SL-II (13.05 km)
Starts after crossing Ferozepur Road near Gajumata village and ends after crossing Raiwind Road near Fazaia Housing Society adjacent to Adda Plot
